Cerro Frias Horseriding
In the vicinity of the tourist city of El Calafate, heading to Perito Moreno glacier, is the Cerro Frias in the middle of the steppe, which is not part of any mountain cord, thus it allows you to appreciate spectacular views of the Torres del Paine, Cerro Fitz Roy, Crystals Cord, Brazo Rico, the North Branch and main body of Lake Argentino, the Boca del Diablo, the Magallanes Peninsula and Avellaneda Peninsula.
The tour includes transportation from your hotel in El Calafate to the starting place. You start in front of the Inn Eolo, located 25 km from El Calafate, where the horses are. You saddle and start the journey through the mountain where you can see beech forests, sunsets with a variety of colors and flora and fauna. On the way, you will cross a meadow and climb up the slope of the hill. Within 30 minutes of starting, we already have significant views of the Centinela Valley and Torres del Paine. The tour continues to rise, reaching half of the hill, where there are cows, guanacos, hares and wild horses.
Finally, you go down the mountainside and start the journey back to the city of El Calafate.
Anyone without experience can make this tour and it is a very quiet activity.
